Question: When is an avenue in Sheffield not an avenue?

Answer: When the city council cut down all the trees.

Definition of an avenue: Noun. Street or road lined with trees on both sides.

The late Castlebeck Avenue, Castlebeck, Sheffield 2.

Sheffield City Council, could we please have the original road name back now, it was Beaumont Road South and the other side of Prince of Wales Road is still Beaumont Road North.

This city is fast losing its reputation as the greenest city in Europe due to the cavalier attitude of the people we, the citizens of Sheffield have charged to run for the benefit of said citizens.
