The new village hall at Wincobank is an utter joke.
Where was the £377,000 of funding from the council for the people who lived in the Newman Court Sheltered Housing Scheme?
The council said that the building was out of date and they had to move out.
This caused great strain on the residents who lived there. They were told they would be moved temporarily until the new sheltered accommodation in High Wincobank was completed.
This never happened and a community was ruined.
There are three church halls that have regular events and community groups attending them.
Are they planning to try to bring these groups into the new village hall?
If so, this will damage the surrounding chapel and church income.
