The rest is history, past and future

Have your say

The eradication of highway trees, the installation of basic street lights in conservation areas, the removal of cobble stones from Kelham Island. What’s all the fuss about?

Has Sheffield ever been a city of heritage, art and history? Don’t we already shop in Leeds, enjoy the arts in Manchester and absorb history in York?

Sheffield is a functional city and the focus seems to be on the three basic functions in life: work (unskilled, low paid), eat (many fast food outlets), die (too soon, for the above reasons). The rest is history, past and future, I’m afraid.
