We were born and brought up at Park Hill flats and went to Norfolk Comprehensive School on Craddock Road.
We too remember the pikelet man, pushing his bike and shouting out his wares.
We can also remember the man nicknamed Jonny Ointment who used to knock at your door asking if you’d like your knives sharpening.
He used to sharpen them on the landing walls.
We also remember the milk floats riding round the landings delivering milk, one was a blue milk float the other green. The green one used to deliver our milk.
We can also remember hitching a cheeky ride on the porter’s trolleys around the landings. What times and memories.
