THAT’S a sports story for the boys. Now how about some make-up news for the girls?
Boffins at Sheffield University are organising a one-off pampering session complete with massages, facials, nail painting and cosmetic samples - oh, and a chemistry lecture too.
Lasses (and lads too if they so wish) can hear Dr John Emsley, of Cambridge University, explain the scientific process that go into making your make-up.
And then it’s spoiling all round with the beauty session.
The unusual evening is the latest event from former Diary stars Science Brainwaves - a group of uni students and graduates attempting to take science to the masses through explaining the every day.
“Hopefully it will be as popular as our booze evening,” says director Tacita Nye.
Takes place March 30 at Sheffield University Union. Details at www.sciencebrainwaves.com
