Given the on-going controversy surrounding the need for and cost of the proposed HS2 project, I therefore thought that the following observations may prove to be definitive and settle the subject once and for all.
Namely, Tom Richmond quoting the current Lord Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, regarding the topic of HS2 in his column in the Yorkshire Post, (January, 21, 2012 p15):
“There are important aspects of HS2 which are not right. This is not the end of the campaigning against HS2.
“This is not even the end of the beginning. This is the beginning of the middle of the beginning.
There is no point spending this much on something that does not work properly”.
So perfectly clear then?!
