As part of a new series of Q&A sessions with some of the city’s big hitters, The Star is giving you a chance to put your questions to John Mothersole, chief executive of Sheffield City Council.

Mr Mothersole is the non-political head of the council and takes responsibility for the work of the council’s thousands of paid staff, who together run the local authority on a day-to-day basis and provide our council services.

The Star’s Editor, Nancy Fielder, said: “We take great pride in being a media platform for the people and I’m really looking forward to this new series of Q&A sessions, which aim to give everyone the chance to grill some of the city’s biggest movers and shakers.

“I look forward to seeing the questions our readers submit and it will be interesting to hear what our first participant, Mr Mothersole, will have to say.”

The Star will collate a varied selection of reader questions and put them to the Q&A participant. A summary of the answers provided will then appear in The Star and online at thestar.co.uk.
