Youngsters have great new play area

The school has a brand new nature area which has been built with a grant from NatWest Bank’s Supergrounds scheme.

Joining the pupils at an official opening were teachers, parents, friends and bank staff.

NatWest worker Glynn Rawle said: "As the parent of an ex-pupil I know what a difference a playground like this makes to the lives of the children and I'm really proud that the bank, through Supergrounds, has turned Balby Street School's dream into a reality."

Headteacher Ian Henderson said: "Our new playground is fantastic and allows children to learn while they play.”
