Young Sheffield pooch is looking for his forever home

Have your say

Beautiful boy Blue is sniffing out a bright future with a new, loving owner that can help him blossom.

At around two-years-old, the Weimaraner crossbreed has a fabulous personality to go with his handsome looks, which has won him plenty of admirers at the Sheffield RSPCA branch where he is currently being cared for.

Acting animal care manager at the branch Tammy Wilson, says it would be great for Blue to put sad times behind him and to join a new family in 2015.

“Blue is looking for a forever home with a person or people who preferably have experience of large breeds or Weimaraners as these stunning and worth-while dogs require a lot of physical and mental stimulation,” said Tammy. “Blue is a lively, loving boy who is very bright and keen to learn. He needs to continue with a lot of basic training started by our centre and a home where he can also relax and switch off from time to time.

“He would excel at dog club or working activities such as agility, scent work or flyball and there are opportunities to become involved in these via pre-bookable events at our centre, as well as having them as part of a regular routine at home.”

RSPCA staff say that due to Blue’s lively and exuberant nature, if his new home has children, it would be best if they were over the age of thirteen so they can be confident, calm and can participate in his training as well any adult owners.
