Young Sheffield boy suffers head injuries after being hit by a car at Fox Valley Retail Park

The boy was walking near Boots outside the shopping centre with a group of friends when he was hit by a black Suzuki estate.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4.50pm on Monday, including the air ambulance.

The young boy was taken to hospital via the road ambulance with a head injury that required stitches.

Police said his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
