Young Doncaster Rovers fans are being given the chance to take on the first team on the Keepmoat Stadium pitch at the club's annual open day.
A friendly match involving young supporters taking on the likes of James Coppinger, Andy Butler and Alfie May is the centrepiece of the annual Open Day which will take place at the stadium from 10am to 2pm on July 28.
The event will kick off with fans having the chance to witness future Rovers stars in action when Academy players hold training sessions on the Club Doncaster Academy pitches until 11am.
Then, it’s the first team’s turn when supporters will be able to get a feel for new manager Grant McCann’s training style as he puts the squad through their paces on the Keepmoat turf from 11am in an exclusive open training session.
Junior Rovers supporters - those in Donny’s Squad and Red Squad - will then have the chance to play against their heroes in a friendly match following the training session.
Only members (aged under 16) will get the chance to play and online applications can be completed HERE
Places on the pitch are limited and can be booked via email to email@example.com, including the member's name and age.
A signing session with all of the first team squad will follow the on pitch action, allowing fans the opportunity to meet the team and have any memorabilia signed.
Donny Dog will also be saying hello, with stadium tours taking place throughout the day conducted by members of the youth teams.
A full first team photo will then take place in front of the South Stand, which fans are encouraged to be a part of.
