Period homes in Yorkshire are being sought to feature in a new Channel 4 television show.George Clarke's Old House, New Home is back for a second series, after the first one reached over two million viewers in the UK.George wants to highlight the wealth and diversity of housing stock, and celebrate architecture and craftsmanship in the area, so from January 22 his team will be in the area searching for people planning major interior makeovers. The series will help families uncover historic hidden gems, and create fabulous homes fit for the future.George said: "The problem is so many of us live in homes where generations of previous owners, developers and DIY enthusiasts have wrecked the interiors and left us confused about what to do with them next. We are terrified of tearing out features that may be the must-have selling points of tomorrow." He is rolling up his sleeves to help families achieve a stunning modern look in period properties, and wants to prove that you can create a perfect blend of old and new.George added: “I want to help everyone answer their most difficult home questions. What should we keep or throw away? What should we restore? How can we make our home, built for a past generation, work for us?”His team are seeking homes of all sizes, and all architectural periods (pre 1940s) including listed properties. Full finance must be in place and you must be ready to start straight away.Contact http://amazingproductions.co.uk/take-part/ or email [email protected]amazingproductions.co.uk
