Yorkshire Ambulance Service launches new care scheme

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust has launched a new scheme offering help and support to subscribers at the push of a button.

Called Independant, the telecare service works by users pressing a button on a pendant around their neck to call for help.

Users pay a weekly charge for the service and will get the most appropriate health or social care for each situation they find themselves in.
