Ye olde camp at the Dome

YOUNGSTERS are set to take a step back in time to look at fitness and entertainment from medieval times in Doncaster.

Children, aged from eight to 13, will be taking part in a special medieval camp which will see them jousting, juggling and finding out about knights at the event at the Dome.

The Dome Camps, which run throughout the summer, offer programmes of activities for young people on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the medieval camps on Tuesday August 28 until Thursday August 30.

Jon Whiteley, head of leisure at The Dome, said: “The Dome Camps are a regular feature of our school holiday activity programme.

“The camps are there to keep children entertained and active during their time off of school.

“It is great to see young people from across the borough mixing well and enjoying sporting and leisure activities.”

Places on the camps are limited so people need to book early to avoid disappointment. For further information call 01302 370777.
