Write-up gave me chair rage
Reading Lauren Clarke's write-up on the grant to cut air pollution in Sheffield and the statistics showing Sheffield being the worst in the area made me get road rage without moving out of my chair.
This council has made air pollution so much worse by bringing out pavements and putting bus stops in the middle so there are queues in both directions, roads have been blocked and others made one way, not to mention the bumps and bus gates. It’s not rocket science to realise that blocking a road with a bus is going to cause a build-up of cars puthering out fumes and adding to air pollution.
Also, good movement of traffic by the shortest distance from a to b uses less fuel, causes less congestion and produces less pollution. What Sheffield Council has done to our road system is nothing short of criminal.
