'Worried' police launch search for missing Sheffield boy

Police have today launched an appeal to find a missing Sheffield boy who has not been seen for 10 days.

De'Jhan Mckay-Freeman, aged 16, was last seen in the Grimesthorpe area of the city on Wednesday, September 16, officers said today.

He is described as being approximately 5ft 11ins in height, and is of slim build. Officers making the appeal today said that he sometimes wears his hair in cornrows, but he also sometimes also wears it in an Afro.

A statement from South Yorkshire Police issued this afternoon said: “De’Jhan’s family reported him missing to police on September 22 and they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“It is thought that De’Jhan may have connections in Scotland. Have you seen him?

Anyone who has any information that may help officers trace De’Jhan is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 653 of September 22, 2020.
