When officers arrived Dantes had blood on his hands and his clothes and he told the officers there were two people dead upstairs.

A post mortem examination found his father had suffered 30 stab wounds and his mother 40.

During his police interview Dantes told them what he did was in self defence after his parents attacked him ‘with their words’. He said they were trying to make him suicidal and he lost control.

He said killing them was the biggest mistake of his life but that he didn’t have a choice as his nervous system was very damaged.
