I WOULD very much like to draw readers’ attention to the professionalism of the nursing and medical staff at the Bev Stokes day surgery unit at the Northern General Hospital.
I was recently admitted as an elective day case patient for a routine gall bladder operation.
Iwould like to commend the staff for their utmost dedication to duty. In the current climate of doom and gloom for the NHS it is encouraging and very pleasing to be at the receiving end of such care and attention.
The whole episode of my short stay was carried out calmly and efficiently with every due care given to my dignity, comfort and pain relief.
Well done and many thanks to all the staff involved in what can be only described as a pleasant day.
Day surgery has made many advances in the right direction for the well-being of patients.
May it be a contributory factor in the maintenance and success of the NHS?
