Woman treated for smoke inhalation after arson attack

A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a rubbish fire spread to a garden.

The blaze started after arsonists set a discarded sofa and rubbish alight in Norman Crescent, New Rossington around 11.15pm last night (Tuesday August 18)

The fire spread to a nearby garden and the resident, believed to be in her 40s, suffered smoke inhalation after trying to put the fire out.

She was treated at the scene.
