It was the second collision in Rawmarsh that morning and the third in less than 24 hours.

On Thursday morning, a car landed on its roof in Green Lane after colliding with a parked vehicle, and two women from the overturned car sustained minor injuries.

The previous evening at 11am another car overturned in Clay Pit Lane. Police, who found the vehicle empty, believe it may have been used by a drink driver.
