Woman still critically ill after taking drugs in Sheffield

The 20-year-old woman was rushed to hospital after falling ill in the Glossop Road area on Wednesday, June 7.

She is critical but stable this morning.

A 22-year-old woman who also fell ill at around the same time died.

She has not yet been named.

Both women are believed to have taken the drug MDMA, otherwise known as Ecstasy.

They are believed to have be on separate nights out in the city when they took the drugs.

A 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled substance have been released under investigation;
