Woman stable after car overturns in crash in Rotherham

A woman is in a stable condition in hospital after the car she was driving overturned.

The 46-year-old was driving a silver BMW along Kirby Lane, Thorpe Hesley, when her car left the road and overturned.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash at 7.15pm on Tuesday.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "It is reported that a silver BMW was travelling along Kirby Lane, Thorpe Hesley, towards Harley, when it has left the road and overturned.

"The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"She currently remains in hospital in a stable condition."

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
