A woman arrested on suspicion of murdering a man in Barnsley has been released on bail.
The 31-year-old was quizzed after a 31-year-old man was found with suspected stab wounds on Braithwaite Street, Mapplewell at around 10.15pm on Thursday.
The man, who has been formally named as William Repton was taken to hospital but could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post-mortem examination has concluded he died as a result of a stab wound to the chest.
The investigation remains ongoing and at this time officers are not looking to identify anyone else in connection with the incident.
