Woman killed starting car

A WOMAN was killed when she became trapped between her car door and a concrete fence as she tried to jump-start her car.

The 25-year-old, who has not yet been named, died following what police believe was ‘a tragic accident’.

Officers believe she was attempting to jump start a Rover 214 car in a driveway in Central Avenue, Worksop, at around 8am yesterday.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to out to deal with the incident, but she was declared dead at the scene.

Detective Inspector Ash Wilson said: “Our inquiries so far lead me to believe this was a terrible accident. She somehow became trapped and was killed.

“It’s a tragedy that a young life has been cut so suddenly short.”
