Woman killed in Doncaster tractor collision is named by police

A woman killed when she was in collision with a tractor in a Doncaster village has been named.

Lorraine Walker, 63, suffered fatal injuries in the incident in Newton Lane, Sprotbrough on Thursday.

Emergency services were called just before 11.30am following reports that a pedestrian and tractor had been involved in a collision.

It is understood that the green tractor, which had a single axle trailer attached, was reversing onto Newton Lane at the time.

A police spokesman said: “Mrs Walker sadly suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Her family has asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.”

Police remain keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, especially any motorists who were travelling through the area who might hold dash-cam footage.
