THE mystery woman struck by a high-speed train at Dronfield train station has been identified - after police officers initially struggled to establish who she was.
She was named as Susan Jayne Wood, aged 53, of Hallowes Rise, Dronfield, at the opening of an inquest into her death.
Her body was found on the tracks at Dronfield train station on Sunday, November 13, after she was struck by a high-speed train travelling to London.
Because she was not carrying any form of identification at the time of the collision and she had not been reported, missing officers initially struggled to identify her.
The inquest has been adjourned to a date to be fixed while enquiries are carried out on behalf of the coroner.
