POLICE are trying to establish the identity of a woman who died after being struck by a train in Dronfield.
The woman was killed at Dronfield Railway Station at 10.50am on Sunday.
Paramedics were alerted to the incident but the woman could not be saved.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to Dronfield rail station following the report of a woman being struck by a train.
“British Transport Police and Derbyshire Constabulary officers attended the incident which was reported to police at 10.50am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the incident but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”
