A woman escaped with minor injuries after being struck by a tram in Sheffield city centre this morning.
The collision, close to the Varsity bar on West Street, was reported at around 6.30am.

Members of the public went to the woman’s aid until paramedics arrived to take over.

Police officers were also deployed and enquiries were carried out at the scene.
South Yorkshire Police said the woman’s injuries have been described as minor.
Public transport was disrupted earlier but tram and bus services are now operating as normal.
