The collision, close to the Varsity bar on West Street, was reported at around 6.30am.

POLICE: Good Samaritan praised for detaining man after attack on woman in Sheffield park Police officers were also deployed and enquiries were carried out at the scene.

South Yorkshire Police said the woman’s injuries have been described as minor.

Public transport was disrupted earlier but tram and bus services are now operating as normal.
