Woman cut free from car after road crash

A woman has been cut free by fire crews after a two car crash on the Isle of Axhlolme this afternoon.

Humberside Fire and police crews were called to the incident on the A161 between Belton and Epworth at around 12.30pm.

The woman was left inside her vehicle until the arrival of paramedics and had to be cut free by firefighters - who removed the car’s roof.

The two men driving the cars are not believed to have been injured, and were able to get out of their vehicles before emergency services arrived.

The woman has been taken to hospital and the incident is being dealt with by Humberside Police.
