A woman was cut free from a vehicle after a crash in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police said a Renault Clio and a van were involved in a collision on Eastern Avenue, Arbourthorne, at 7.35pm last night.

Firefighters cut the woman free after finding her trapped at the crash scene.

She was taken to hospital along with another casualty.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called at around 7.35pm on Wednesday, November 23 to reports of a collision in Eastern Avenue, Sheffield.

"It is reported that a black Renault Clio and a white Ford van were involved in a collision near to the junction with Arbourthorne Road.

"At this time, it is not known whether anyone suffered injuries in the incident."
