Witter ignores opponent jibe
JUNIOR Witter has dismissed an internet attack on him from his next opponent, Vivian Harris.
The Sheffield World champion light-welterweight, who showed off his WBC belt to Doncaster Rovers fans before their match with Manchester United - received a message out of the blue from the American based fighter.
“He found my name on MySpace and sent me a sarcastic message saying I was just keeping the belt warm for him,” said Witter, who will box Harris at Doncaster Dome on September 7
“I wrote back saying I’d still be the WBC champion when he’s going back home and I’ve beaten him. Whatever he says or does, won’t make any difference.”
