Witness appeal after man hit by 4x4 in Rotherham

Police have appealed for witnesses to a crash that left a Rotherham man with life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened on the A57 Sheffield Road in Anston at about 3pm on Saturday (February 20). A red and silver Mitsubishi L200 4x4 hit a 69-year-old man, who was loading his trailer parked at the side of the Worksop-bound carriageway.

The man suffered significant injures to his legs and was taken by air ambulance to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition at Northern General Hospital. The 25-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured.

Call police on 101 quoting incident 647 of the February 20 if you saw anything.
