THESE beautiful babes with the winning smiles outshone the competition in The Star’s Cute Kids contest.
Hundreds of proud parents brought their bonny babies to have pictures taken over six days at Mothercare in Barker’s Pool - then votes were cast for the cutest little cherubs.
A picture of each child appeared in a special keepsake supplement in The Star.
Family, friends and readers submitted their nominations for the cutest youngsters, with a winner chosen in each of three age categories. George Holland, from Hillsborough, came top in the under 12 months category, while Lola-Mae Bell, of Parson Cross, won the 12 to 24 months prize.
Tasean Evans, from Burngreave, was voted the cutest kid in the two to three year age group.
Organiser Jackie Capper, from Sheffield Newspapers, said there was a good turnout and the event was a resounding success.
“It was a family day out,” she said.
“Mums, dads and grannies all came along to Mothercare to have their little cuties photographed, and every child was then entered into the competition.
“Family and readers were asked to vote for their favourite by post or text.”
The winners each received a Mothercare gift voucher, as well as a black and white acrylic print of their child’s photo.
Parents were also able to purchase a package containing different sized versions of the pictures.
