Dozens of giant dominoes will topple for a fun-filled launch of Sheffield Children’s Festival - and one lucky child will have the chance to start it off.
The Star has teamed up with Sheffield Council to offer a youngster the chance to push over the first domino in the challenge at Devonshire Green on Saturday.
Parents are invited to nominate their child by emailing their name, address and a contact number to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Thursday.
The Big Topple is being run by art collective Responsible Fishing UK.
Visitors will be able to create their own mini topples and take part in other fun activities as part of the free event.
This year is the 21st Sheffield Children’s Festival and the event includes a packed programme of workshops, performances and shows.
Other activities this Saturday include dancing, pop-up portraits on Devonshire Street, and artwork in the Winter Garden.
