The helicopter was first called out to Royston at around 4.20pm to assist following a concern for welfare call before being called to Dronfield twenty minutes later.

Officers were involved in a footchase of a wanted man as the police helicopter tracked his movements before he was eventually detained by ground units.

After a brief search, the man was found trying to hide on top of a roof before officers were guided in to contain and detain him.

The helicopter was then called to Maltby, Rotherham to perform an area search for a high risk missing person at around 4.30am.Â
