"Keiren has struggled in the last week a little bit with his knee," Luhukay told The Star. "I don't think it is a dangerous injury.

"I expect him to be back in training today (Wednesday)."

Academy graduate Cameron Dawson was in goal as the Owls fell to a 2-1 defeat at the One Call Stadium last night.

Mall Benning fired the Stags in front before Adam Reach put through his own net midway in the second half.

Reach went from villain to hero, pulling one back in the 73rd minute but Mansfield held on to edge a feisty contest.

Tempers flared in the closing stages of the fixture as Stags boss David Flitcroft had to physically haul defender Krystian Pearce off the pitch after he clashed with Fernando Forestieri. Forward Forestieri was booked following his late challenge.

But the friendly descended into chaos at the final whistle as an unsavoury 22-man brawl broke out.

Forestieri was at the centre of things, appearing to aim a punch at Calum Butcher before being assaulted himself trying to escape the bust-up.

Luhukay said he would speak to his players about the ugly clash today.

“I’ve never seen anything like that before in a friendly," he said. “I did not see what the reason was or why it turned into an explosion.

"I will speak to my players about what happened.

"I cannot see why any of them would be in any trouble. But I have not spoken to the referee or players so I can’t explain what happened."
