It's an Inter tradition to eat pizza in the changing room after any match, home or away, so it was no different when the Italian giants came to Sheffield.

The Nerazzurri fell in love with Sheffield restaurant Proove, who provided players and staff with their post-match pizza fix on Tuesday night after the 1-1 draw with the Blades.

Proove, a Neapolitan Pizza & Street food restaurant and bar based in Broomhill, were specially selected to give Luciano Spalletti's team an authentic taste of home whilst they were in Yorkshire.

Proove took their pizza oven to Bramall Lane to feed the players, fans and locals, and it was a hit with the whole Inter Milan Squad with manager Luciano Spalletti saying it was some of the best he’d tasted.

Rob Engledow, Director at Proove Ltd, said: “We had an absolute blast serving up our wood fired pizza at the match.

"We knew the Inter Milan team had very high standards so we were delighted when we got such great feedback from them – they raved about our pizzas, which was fantastic – they even joked that we should make the pizza for the next match in Nice.

"We’re so pleased that a local independent brand got this opportunity – and that Italians loved our pizza, it’s a great seal of approval all round. All the fans loved our Pop Up Proove too – and with a decent result for the Blades at the match too, perhaps we’ll be back again soon."
