Why drivers are facing HUGE delays and traffic chaos on major Sheffield road this morning

It's not going to be a good morning for some drivers in Sheffield.

Drivers are being warned that there is 'serious disruption' on Middlewood Road this morning due to a burst water main on Catch Bar Lane.

Catch Bar Lane is currently closed going into the the city resulting in traffic heading on at Middlewood Road.

Stagecoach Supertram said that Yellow route services are delayed up to 15 minutes but warned that these would would get worse.

One resident said: "Massive traffic problems on Middlewood Road this morning. Cars have been diverted onto the tram route at Leppings Lane."

Martin Spiers posted: "Serious disruption on Middlewood Road due to @YorkshireWater emergency works on Leppings Lane. Road closed heading into town & cars diverted onto tram route. This isn't going very well."
