Where have flowers gone?

I am just replying to a letter in The Star last week from someone called Natalie S5 Regarding potholes along Wordsworth Avenue.

She refers to the council spending money on putting bedding plants around Dore and Totley rather than repairing roads.

I live in the S17 area and have not seen any bedding plants in this area for years so I do not know were she gets this from .

If she means the flowers on the grass verges they are not bedding plants but Crocus and daffodils bulbs which were planted by voluntary groups in Totley a few years ago .

And apart from that has she seen the state of most of the Roads in our area they are in a terrible state.

Think of the good times

After reading, with great sadness about the death of your little girl, Daniel I feel so sorry for you and your wife.

I had meningitis when I was 11 years old. It was hard because I could not walk or dress myself, but I had to have special care and still take tablets today and live a normal life.

Think of the good times you had with Gracie.

I hope you raise plenty of money for your charity, Daniel.

Look after yourself and wife. God bless.

There seems to be more office space and student accommodation in Sheffield than buildings to house people on the waiting list, some have been waiting for years. One office block built in West Bar in 2008 was never occupied. Says it all, really.
