When Sheffield Wednesday got a taste of their own medicine

It was a moment which went largely unnoticed.

But Sheffield Wednesday loanee Josh Onomah was less than impressed with midfield counterpart Marlon Pack's antics in the second half of their recent clash with Bristol City.

Defender Liam Palmer passed Onomah a tactical note from the Wednesday bench in the Championship showdown at Ashton Gate. The Tottenham Hotspur loanee was reading the instructions when Robins captain Pack snatched the piece of paper out of his hands.

Tempers briefly threatened to boil over but referee Andy Davies diffused the situation before stuffing the tactical note in his pocket.

Onomah, who started for the England Under-21s against Scotland today, was smiling at the full-time whistle as Wednesday triumphed 2-1 after a brace from substitute Lucas Joao.

The incident was reminiscent of when Ross Wallace hilariously grabbed a tactical note off  Elias Kachunga in the Owls' away win at Huddersfield Town in October 2016. As Kachunga was reading the note, Wallace popped up behind the forward, pinched the note off him and started reading the tactics with a cheeky smile on his face.

Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri bagged the winner from the penalty spot.
