POLICE are investigating after two wheelie bins were set on fire deliberately in Handsworth, Sheffield, during the early hours.
Fire crews from Darnall and Mansfield Road stations were called after the two bins were reported to be on fire within just minutes of one another at around 12.30am yesterday.
One was on Beaver Hill Road and the other in nearby Malon Way.
No-one was injured in either of the fires, but a house on Beaver Hill Road suffered slight smoke damage from the burning plastic.
Firefighters from Mansfield Road station also attended a wheelie bin fire in Ironside Road, Gleadless, at around 11.20pm on Tuesday.
The cause has again been recorded as firefighters as deliberate.
