The flooding on Handsworth Road, close to the White Rose pub, has been going one for more than one week, one nearby resident claims.
Writing on Facebook, another resident said: “My mum's been reporting it for about a week now and it's like they don't want to know. It's outside her house, it's disgusting. Something needs doing and doing fast.”

Yorkshire Water said they are aware of the problem and warned people to be careful what they put down the toilet. They previously attempted to remove the waste but were unable to clear it because there was so much.
In a statement, they said: “We were first made aware of the issue on Handsworth Road on the afternoon of December 30th with a jet van sent overnight. On site, we discovered a large number of bandages and wet wipes in the sewer, which due to the large numbers we were unable to clear with a normal jet van.
“We will be on site today [Friday] to locate the blockage and get it removed as quickly as possible. This incident highlights the impact of flushing wet wipes and anything that isn’t pee, poo, or paper down the toilet.
