What makes people decide how to vote?

What a disgrace, of all the problems in and around this city we have 30 people demonstrating against the council about trees.

Are these people serious ?

Where are you when people in your own city are starving and relying on food banks?

Where are you in support of the NHS and the lack of funding in South Yorkshire?

Haven’t they heard of the forthcoming winter crisis?

Where are you in condemning the situation of our citizens who haven’t a roof over their heads?

Haven’t they heard of austerity?

How on earth can you take to the streets over trees but not over some of our deprived Sheffield people?

It’s about time some of you got your priorities right.

Ask yourselves why the council had to go to extraordinary lengths to cut down diseased or damaged trees to make sure some of you weren’t arrested.

As an old Sheffielder I am saddened at some of the people of Sheffield who can get emotionally upset about a tree but not about an individual human being.

If the only issue that would help remove a council is trees and that will make people decide on how they will vote, all I can say is wow!
