What Jos Luhukay made of Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 win over Ipswich Town

It was far from a classic but another three points for Sheffield Wednesday has swept away much of the negativity after this 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town.

Lucas Joao scored both Owls goals on his return to the side following a groin injury, this coming just days after he agreed a new contract at Hillsborough.

Aristote Nsiala had cancelled out the first just before half time and then the Town defender was harshly sent off in the second half for a foul on Fernando Forestieri which proved to be a turning point in the game.

Luhukay had been critical of his team after their defeat at Brentford last Sunday, but the mood has changed considerably on S6 with this latest success coming off the back of a win over Millwall on Wednesday night.

'I think today was a totally different game to Wednesday. It was so tough in the first half,' Luhukay told The Star. 'We had no rhythm. IUpswich closed the lines and we lost a lot of balls.

'We had no combinations, no chances and the set-pieces were dangerous just twice, one we scored from.

'In the second half it was better in the beginning, we had some chances to score the second goal but the game was until the end, we had to give a lot of energy and work hard for three points.

'It's coming for us and now we hope for the next game and recover fast for the game on Tuesday (against Wolves).'
