Well known Doncaster factory nurse dies

A well known nurse who worked at a Doncaster factory for a number of years has died.

Mrs McCarthy worked at Mining Supplies as a nursing sister.

Mary McCarthy, who was a nursing sister at long-established Doncaster firm Mining Supplies, died earlier this month at the age of 88.

Mrs McCarthy, formerly of County Mayo in the Republic of Ireland, died peacefully in hospital on July 13.

An obituary described her as the "beloved wife of the late Kevin and a loving mum and grandma."

A Requiem Mass will take place at St Paul's Catholic Church, Cantley on July 29 at 10.45am followed by interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
