Weird wheels help charities

FUNDRAISING adventurers in Sheffield are being invited to join a ride across northern England on a specially-made seven-seater circular bike.

Geoff Major, aged 51, is riding 350 miles to raise money for Heart Research UK, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and a disability cycling charity.

He will be pedalling an average of 50 miles per day and will travel from Stockport to Sheffield on Wednesday, May 1, before travelling north to York.

Geoff is appealing to people in Sheffield to come on-board the bike.

Each person can either pay £150 per day for a saddle – of which £120 will go to the three nominated charities – or pay £50 per day for a saddle provided they pledge to raise £200 for the charity of their choice.
