The Sheffield Retired Greyhound Trust raised more than £3,500 during a packed weekend of fundraising.

The trust held its annual Christmas fair in Wortley, which raised £2,500, and a further £1,000 was raised at the Kelham Island Victorian Christmas Market, to support the rehoming of retired greyhounds in Sheffield.

Since its formation in 2006, the trust, which is heavily subsidised by Owlerton Stadium, has found new homes for more than 1,000 retired greyhounds.
