Web campaign secures praise

Have your say

Go On Barnsley, a month long campaign to show the town’s residents how easy it is to access the internet, has received high praise from Europe.

Neelie Kroes, vice-president of the European Commission and commissioner for the digital agenda, has congratulated the scheme.

Since its launch last month, Go On Barnsley has held more than 120 events and shown hundreds of people the skills needed. The latest is today at Christkindlmarkt in the town centre.
