From Saturday, punters can enjoy a poured pint once again as part of the easing of lockdown restrictions – but unfortunately it’s not quite beer garden weather.

Sheffield is set for cloudy weather on Saturday, changing to ‘light showers’ by lunchtime, according to the Met Office weather forecast.

Highs of 20 degrees are expected in the afternoon but it will remain cloudy with a moderate breeze and humidity levels will be high. The rainfall is expected to clear by 2pm but could return in the evening.

Sunday is expected to be a better day for drinking outside with sunny intervals and a fresh breeze forecast. Highs of 18 degrees are expected by mid-afternoon.

Extra police officers will be on the streets to cope with an expected increase in demand this weekend, with hospitals expecting to be very busy.
